The founding
e7 is a fresh media agency based in Finland and it covers almost every single area in the field; all the way from digital media to video editing and print designing. Also, one of their next steps is to get into clothing industry. Although the idea of e7 already hit sparks in May 2008, the real deal began to bloom in 2009 by three magnificent guys, Heikki, Niklas and Vesa.
The trio came in contact with each other in a design community and each of them was full of wonderful ideas and concepts. With all of the ideas and concepts combined, they created e7. Hard-working, humorous and talented, they’re always looking for new challenges to beat. And when it comes to designing, these three passionate (read: awesome) fellows can really make dreams come true.
During the following years, e7 will try its best to make a breakthrough and get themselves among the biggest names in the field.
Niklas Lepistö
Niklas is the youngest founding member with the age of 19. He lives in the same apartment with Heikki and Vesa, where he moved in the beginning of June 2010. He graduated as an IT wizard (or Business College Graduate in Information Technology if you want to be formal) from Kouvola Region Vocational School. Now he is currently studying Computer Science in TAMK University of Applied Sciences.
Because the little amount of designing in his education, Niklas is mostly self-taught. But that doesn’t make him bad at what he does, on the contrary actually. On the web he is recognized as a great artist and lots of companies have wanted him to work for them. Of course he has said yes to couple of them, such as LowLandLions, PlayAll and Xfire to name a few.
Niklas is pretty much a hardcore gamer, compared to Heikki and Vesa, and he has many years of experience in the competitive gaming. Hell, he even placed 7th/8th at a European LAN tournament in Denmark in 2009! Other than that, in free time Niklas likes to play with cards in the form of cardistry and magic (yes, you read it right, magic). He also likes to relax listening to a nice set of some bad-ass drum and bass music.
Personally Niklas is a humorous person and is always up for a good laugh. He leans towards sarcasm and through many occasions he has made a conclusion that the kind of sarcasm he spouts is something you either get or you don’t. He also thinks that Steven Seagal is a living legend.
Heikki Salo
Heikki is now 19 years old former (almost) perfect schoolboy. These days he’s just one of all the dreamers about good future. He has graduated from Tampere College as layout designer in spring 2009. At young age Heikki played lots of games but it had to end ’cause at the present he works in Tampere and the same time he studies a vocational examination in AEL, Helsinki.
Heikki has a championship career started from TaitajaMästare 2009, where he placed first in Graphic Design Technology (Print Design). Now he is training to fill Finland’s place in EuroSkills 2010′s Graphic Design contest at Lisboa.
Nowadays his area of experties rounds print and web design, photography and digital art. And also he likes to stress about everything.
Vesa Antikainen
Vesa is a mid sized Finnish dude born in 1983. By day he’s a third-year student at TAMK University of Applied Sciences studying Interactive Media. That includes web design, some print design and a bit of game development.
By night he’s a graphics guru extraordinaire. So he’s either creating mind melting art with his computer aided by his trustee sidekick Wacom or being a paparazzo with his Canon EOS 450D (Digital Rebel XSi for you American folks). He also fiddles with his guitar every now and then trying to bug the hell out of the neighbors. Playing games (computer, console and mobile) is one of his many passions but unfortunately he doesn’t have much time for that anymore. Perhaps that’s a good thing.
As you might guess he’s not very serious person. He likes to relax and not be in a hurry as much as the next guy but he won’t cave in under pressure. When push comes to shove he’ll put on the game face. But other times, why be grumpy. Life’s too short to waste it being blue. Apart from not losing his cool in tight spots he’s also punctual, humble and a wonderful person to work with!
